If you are already a certified motorcycle instructor with ICBC. Great.
If not you will need to contact ICBC to get an instructor application package. This is a short application which also includes and police background check and health check from your doctor. Contact dtas@icbc.com to get the application.
1st Gear is hiring for these positions
- Evening Classroom teaching (teach 5-25 students in a classroom environment)
- Daytime Road Riding (take new riders out onto the road)
- Daytime Training Lot instructing (teaching students how to ride motorcycles in our parking lots)
Hours
- 10-35 hours per week. Seasonal work. Very busy between April and August. Less busy between September to March.
- We are most busy on weekends but we do need weekday availability.
Compensation
- $33.00 an hour plus bonus ($250 to $1000 per year).
- Our current instructors make between $10,000 and $50,000 per year for about 9-10 months worth of work.
Do you have an existing contract with another school preventing you from working elsewhere? We can help with that.
